Subsidized Foodstuff Program Held at RPTRA Kebon Pala Berseri

Hundreds of resident flock to subsidized foodstuff program held by Jakarta Provincial Government, Thursday (4/10) at RPTRA Kebon Pala Berseri, Jalan Kamboja Makasar, East Jakarta.

Previously, the holders of Jakarta Smart Card (KJP), Elderly Card, PJLP, Dasawisma Cadres, Jumantik, and PKK cadres have made online transaction or auto debit using their Bank DKI ATM card.

RPTRA Kebon Pala Berseri caretaker, Dedi said the foodstuff package sold at the program was cheaper compared to the markets.

Chicken meat was sold at Rp 8,000, beef Rp 35,000, chicken egg Rp 10,000, rice Rp 30,000, fish Rp 13,000 per kilogram (six to seven pieces), and also UHT milk Rp 30,000 per 24 boxes.

"They had made transactions using ATM cards on EDC machines before," he said.

Dedi added another five RPTRA caretakers assisted by four PPSU personnel were deployed to distribute the packages to residents.

Rani (32), one of the residents, admitted the program helped her much since foodstuff price at the markets remain high.

"I bought fish, beef, chicken egg, rice, and milk for my children," she admitted.
